Please expect delays on Route 32 (Athol) due to the construction at Exit 14 in Orange. It is anticipated that construction will be completed in May 2011. Please plan your trip accordingly. There will also be certain detours along this route due to the Gill-Montague bridge construction (see Route 32 for info). Construction is estimated to take 4 years.
We will not provide service on the following holidays:
New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day*, Patriots Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day*, Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.

Free Transfers are coming back!
Beginning on September 1st, you will be able to transfer from any FRTA fixed route to any FRTA fixed route except the Route 23 (Amherst). To do this, just ask the bus driver for a transfer as you exit the bus. The driver will give you an electronic transfer from the farebox. The transfer will be good for 60 minutes.
Route 23 (Amherst) customers: while you will not be able to transfer from another FRTA route to the Route 23, you will be able to transfer from the Route 23 to another FRTA route.
Any customers with a $22.00 FRTA Punch Passes and/or Blue Coupons can continue to use them until September 30th. Starting on October 1st we will only accept magnetic passes ($1, $15, and $25 Stored Value cards and change cards). You may exchange your Punch Pass or Blue Coupons at the FRTA office located at 474 Main Street in Greenfield. If you have any questions please call (413) 774-2262.
