Be sure to have your Statewide Access or ADA Pass available prior to boarding the bus so that you may present it to the driver.  Failure to do so will require you to pay the full fare.

Exact change must be used for your fare (new fareboxes can issued change cards only which are NOT redeemable for cash).  You must pay your fare before taking your seat.  To help keep the buses on schedule, please h ave your fare and any reduced fare ID ready prior to boarding the bus.

There is no eating or smoking allowed on the bus.  Drinks must be stored in a purpose-made travel mug or other reasonably sized sealed container.  If a spill occurs, please let the driver know immediately.

Animals are permitted aboard FRTA vehicles; provided that they are in a cage or animal carry case (exception is made to service animals). Animals are not permitted on seats.  The driver reserves the right to prohibit animals which are deemed to be a nuisance due to barking, are unkempt or unclean in appearance, exhibit aggressive behavior toward passengers or if (due to their large size) restrict the capacity of bus or interfere with the safety of passengers. 

The FRTA, its Operator, Franklin Transit Management, Inc.(FTM) shall have the right to refuse entry to, or expel, any passenger, who, in the judgment of the FRTA or  Franklin Transit Management, Inc., is a danger to the safe operation of the vehicle, shows a lack of respect to the rights of the other passengers by being loud and disruptive, who appears to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, uses profanity, or exhibits any lewd or suggestive behavior, or endangers the health and well-being of the other passengers and driver. Any passenger who is deemed to be disruptive as described herein, or who chronically violates these rules, may be banned from using the FRTA system; and have his/her pass revoked.

Your carry on bags are limited to the number of items/bags you can carry onto the vehicle without disrupting normal entrance onto the vehicle or payment of fare.  Passengers are not permitted to get off the bus to retrieve any additional items/bags.

Shopping carts are not allowed on our vehicle.  Be sure to collapse all strollers.

Per ADA Regulations (section 37.165 (c) (3)) all riders must have their wheelchairs secured while on board FRTA vehicles.  Service may be declined to a passenger refusing to allow his/her common wheelchair to be secured.

Passengers are prohibited from bringing hazardous/flammable materials on the bus.

The FRTA and its Operator, Franklin Transit Management, Inc. are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen personal property.  If you have left something behind, please call 413-773-8090 (ext. 205) to see if it was found.
